Summer is the height of construction season and onsite activity surrounding the construction of the new facility is moving quickly. Site preparation for the erection of the new building is finished and the outer structure of the building is expected to be completed by November. The railcar assembly facility is expected to be completed in Q4 2018.
What’s Next?
- Roof installation has started and will continue through November.
- Outdoor rail test tracks are being installed to test the future CTA cars along the south border of the property. Installation will continue through mid-November.
- Asphalt for the new parking lots and road to the facility will begin in September through the end of the month.
